The leaders of our national offices gathered for three days on the west coast to discuss many things including growth plans, how to work better together to provide even more value for our clients, new technologies, new media opportunities and where to find the best bourbons. We were hosted this time in Newport Beach, California by David Thalberg of our Los Angeles office.
While the business portion of our meetings comes under the heading of “Top Secret,” we would like to tell everyone about a special meeting with Mira Sorvino. You may know Mira as an Academy Award and Golden Globe winning actress. We at Stryker-Munley Group have come to know her as a passionate defender of human rights with an emphasis in combatting human trafficking, or modern-day slavery.
Mira has spoken on this issue before Congress and with the Pope, and she is a United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime Goodwill Ambassador.
Mira met with us poolside one evening to speak with Stryker-Munley Group thanks to SMG Sacramento President Jen Bulotti. Jen is a founder and board member of 3Strands Global a foundation that combats human trafficking through prevention, education, and reintegration programs. Mira has been a long-time supporter of the organization as well.
Stryker-Munley Group, and our national offices support the work of 3Strands Global. We thank Mira Sorvino for her dedication to ending this worldwide epidemic and for speaking with us.
